Yes. I got mine extended in FL with EAD.. but the extension was only for an year eventhough the EAD was for 2-years.
~GCA
Even with H1, they renew the DLs only for a year. That the way FL rolls. I've been renewing every year since 2002.

Tell your employer that you need a second opinion, consult with a reputed lawyer, and then choose your options.

Notify the change of address - If USCIS finds out that you have moved and did not notify with in 10 days of your move then they have the power to revoke and deny your petition.
wandmaker is correct.
Updating USCIS using form AR-11 within 11 days is required by law. Can be done online, allows the option to update pending cases with a different mailing address such as PO Box that is different from the home address. AR-11 requires the actual physical home address.
In any event, should call USCIS to confirm change of address on pending applications.

Berkeleybee, I am not sure I totally agree with you - having a forum where people can come in and ask questions related to the core problems is a great way to increase readership and to promote the necessary esprit de corps. The members-only forums - now those, I agree - mainly ideas, activities etc. (Personally, I find it very difficult to stay tuned to 3 or 4 different immigration web sites/forums).
vnsriniv, to answer your question - to the best of my knowledge, you will have to wait till the dates become current - the current processing dates of the service centers don't mean much - there are several cases of 485 approvals of petitions with PDs > cut-off dates based on other posts on this board.
Jnayar,
It is not IV's intent to be a one-stop shop. We are here to discuss our agenda and actions. This is not my policy -- it is IV's policy. Don't know if you are a new member but do check out our posting guidelines http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/announcement.php?f=2

It should appear on your I140 approval under the Beneficiary. Under your name, the A# should appear there.
Even my lawyer could not remember where my A# came from and I pointed it out to her.
Some people say, they didn't get it. I'm not really sure.
Please check your I140 approval.
Why are you trusting your lawyer if they cannot even remember where the A# came from? Makes me wonder how they justify their existence if this the level of their competence. If I was that bad at my job I would have been on a plane out of the US within a week or arriving.

Without a green card, we are still temporary workers, check with a tax consultant about worldwide income too.
Todays economictimes.indiatimes.com - Green card a tax liability
"Tax laws in the US empower the Internal Revenue Service, the apex body for US tax administration, to tax global incomes of those holding US citizenships or the green card."
"Indians with green card or citizenship in US also find having to reporting foreign accounts with deposits of $10,000 or more "

No you don't need to be on payroll before filing the PERM. That is what I did. GC can be applied for future employment.
so can we file LC perm with an employer while on H4 and move to H1 little bit later?
----------------------------
Contribute $320
signed up for monthly contribution $20
PD:-August 2003 (EB3)
LC approved
I-140 approved
I-485 did not file
Spouse on H4.

I just called the DMV, they are again blindly saying that they just accept I-94 and nothing else. When i tried explaining them about how this is being handled in other states, they told me that this is TEXAS....we go by our own rules. I don't think i have any other option other than going for Premium.
Any advises on upgrading to premium at this time.

In my view, it is his mistake. I am seriously think that he is lieing to you. First of all, deduction 400$ biweekly is too much. You didn't specified if you have any dependents. If you are single, then he is really lieing to you. I say just file a complaint with DOL in your home state.
No disrespect but , 400$ biweekly seems ok to me ...It depends on how you are employed , If you are working on percentage basis then companies may charge full insurance to you , If you are employed its a different case .

CIS Ombudsman - Send Your Recommendations
Looks like another good opportunity to express our hardships and seek CHANGE. Pls write to CIS.
http://www.dhs.gov/xabout/structure/editorial_0501.shtm
Your recommendations are accepted and encouraged. The Ombudsman is dedicated to identifying systemic problems in the immigration benefits process and preparing recommendations for submission to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for process changes. The Ombudsman believes that process change recommendations from individuals like you represent one of the best sources for identifying systemic problems in the immigration benefits process.
Ideally, your recommendations for process changes should not only identify the problem you are experiencing, but should also contain a proposed solution that will not only benefit your individual case, but others who may be experiencing the same problem as well.
The CIS Ombudsman is dedicated to open and accessible communication with both individuals and employers and not only welcomes, but encourages your comments.

Emailed my attorney immediately and he said that as long as the checks do not bounce the application is going to be OK.
It does not matter to the USCIS if the checks do not have the same address as on the I485.
thats sigh of relief for me.
My friends attorney did'nt file his 485 unless he got new checks with his address imprinted on them.poor guy had to order new set of checks.
Not sure why attorneys do this

If I were you, I would spend a couple of hundred dollars and do a paid phone consultation with a lawyer, probably a good one at that. And send questions ahead of time so that the lawyer too does his research before talking to you on the phone.
When you decisions can have a lasting effect on your career, you may not want to rely on advice on forums. Members here are not lawyers.
If you do get advice here, then be aware of the chances that it could be not applicable to your situation.
Good Luck.
